About the Program

The school is licensed by the Massachusetts Division of Occupational Licensure, Office of Private Occupational Schools. Upon graduating, students will have completed 650 hours of training:

  • 300 hours of massage therapy instruction

  • 100 hours of anatomy and physiology

  • 45 hours of kinesiology

  • 45 hours of pathology

  • 60 hours of ethics

  • 100 hours of supervised clinic

Each trimester is 12 weeks long. During the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, students will gain field experience by participating in our student clinic. See our class breakdown by trimester below!

FAQ

01 — How is your program responding to COVID?

The Spirit Wellness Institute staff is dedicated to implementing a safety protocol that follows the CDC's recommended guidelines to minimize the spread of COVID-19. We have equipped our classrooms with Jade, surgically clean air filters. We are rigorous about our PPE protocol and utilize KN95 masks when in close contact as well as use COVID-19 certified cleaning products daily. Our cohorts remain isolated in pods of 8 students and our premises is deep cleaned biweekly between our classroom days. Our community remains committed to keeping each other safe and we have a diligent contact tracing protocol that has worked well for us thus far. We are happy to report that all students, and staff have contributed generously to the health of our community by impimqting our policies with care. We are looking forward to another purposeful and safe semester.

02 — How much does your program cost?

Our 650 Hour Massage Therapy Training Program tuition is $14,520.00 There is an additional cost of $651.16 in books if they are all purchased new. There is additionally a $50.00 nonrefundable administrative fee that will be charged when you apply making the total program cost $15,221.16. Learn more about payment options.

03 — What other materials will I need?

Additional materials include linens. Students will be asked to bring a cotton twin sized sheet set and pillow case to each bodywork class. You can use what you have at home or purchase whatever is to your liking.

Tuesdays and Thursdays

05 — How long does it take to complete your program?

11 months

06 — Is it easy to find employment after graduation?

90% of our graduates are hired before they finish their last class!

07 — What if my GPA drops below a 70%?

Teachers will offer tutoring and a customized plan to help you integrate missing information. All students are expected to graduate with a 70% average or higher. We are looking to elevate the standard in our industry and this is one way that we yield exceptional therapists.

08 — How do I make up missed hours?

Missed hours can be completed in the student clinic or by auditing classes the following semester.

09 — How long do I have to complete my clinic hours?

Up to one year after your academics are complete, though most students do them in conjunction with the program.

10 — What modalities will I learn in this program?

Swedish, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Protocol, Neuromuscular Resets, Prenatal and Chair Massage


Curriculum
