About this course:
It is necessary as a bodywork professional to have a solid understanding of the human biomechanical systems, as well as to understand common dysfunctions to be able to properly assess when massage therapy is indicated versus contraindicated. It is also important as a massage therapist to be able to discern when you need to draw a boundary for your own health and safety. Having a working knowledge of applicable pathology can help you to develop your assessment skills and create effective treatment strategies.

What You Will Learn:
This course will help you to discuss pathologic conditions in a manner that will assist you in determining the safety and applicability of massage modalities. Further we will begin to develop critical thinking skills that will identify the variables that contribute to making informed decisions about treatment.
