About this course:

As a massage therapist it is essential to develop a deep understanding of the ways that movement lends to the whole health of the body. It will be your job to encourage the release of muscular tension, help facilitate the healing of soft tissues as well as to encourage the full range of motion of the body with your work. This course will provide a deep understanding of the body’s kinesiology to help provide context for your work, as well as additional assessment techniques to integrate into your bodywork practice. LMTs, DPTs, CPTs, and RYTs are also welcome!

What you will learn:

This course will give you the opportunity to work with physical therapist, Dr. Sally Moores, to explore the movements of the human body. There will be a hands-on, full body assessment used along with corrective movements in this course. Each student will have the opportunity to study the movement patterns in the body, assess compensatory patterns and dysfunctions of movement, implement corrective techniques where needed as well as learn about the factors that lend to the development of these symptoms.
