Sovereignty is ALL

A former student said to me recently, “Sovereignty is all.”

And I couldn’t help but reflect on how deeply true that is, how building a practice of personal sovereignty has been at the heart of my own growth and transformation. Yet I’ve also come to recognize that many people only have a vague sense of what sovereignty actually is.

Personal sovereignty is not just a concept, it’s a lived state.

It’s the combination of containment and agency that gives rise to self-government across all dimensions of our being.

In many spiritual disciplines, we speak of a model of being that encompass five bodies:

    •    the mental body

    •    the physical body

    •    the emotional body

    •    the spiritual body

    •    and the energetic body

To govern ourselves means taking personal responsibility in each of these areas, developing conscious relationships with our own thoughts, emotions, health, boundaries, and beliefs.

When we build sovereignty, we become:

    •    less susceptible to illness in the physical body

    •    less influenced by propaganda and mental manipulation

    •    less emotionally destabilized by the suffering or projections of others

    •    less spiritually vulnerable to breaches of consciousness or external interference

    •    and less energetically porous, able to contain our own field and discern what belongs to us and what does not

From that grounded place, we relate to others differently. We are no longer reaching to fix, rescue, or take energy from those around us in order to feel whole. Instead, we arrive as contained, responsible, and authentic beings, able to witness others with love while remaining rooted in ourselves. And this, in turn, gives them permission to do the same.

Healthy boundaries, right relationship, and true embodiment all arise as reflections of our own self-worth and containment. So yes, it seems as though sovereignty is all when it comes to your health, your well-being, and your liberation.

I want to invite you into a series of guided shamanic journeys, designed to support you in exploring your own sovereignty, reconnecting with your five bodies, and building a deeper state of inner freedom. I would love to begin by offering this journey that helps us to tend to energetic hygiene. Please leave yourself 45 minutes to take the journey, and then journal and reflect.

Thank you for walking this path with me.
